Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of crackpad.io (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

This is a general template and not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before relying on it.

1. The Service

crackpad.io is an interview-preparation platform for data structures and algorithms. It provides practice problems, a code editor with automated judging, spaced-repetition scheduling, progress tracking, and related features. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for maintaining their confidentiality.
  • Accounts are for a single person. Do not share or resell access.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • abuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • use the code-execution environment to attack, mine, exfiltrate data from, or otherwise misuse our systems or third parties;
  • scrape, copy, or redistribute problem content, solutions, or other materials except as expressly permitted;
  • reverse engineer the judging system or attempt to circumvent access controls or usage limits;
  • create multiple accounts to evade limits, or use automated means to access the Service.

4. Subscriptions & payments

  • Paid plans (Pro) are billed through our payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Prices, plans, and promotional offers (including any lifetime offer) may change; changes apply to future billing periods.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Applicable taxes may be added.

5. Your content

Code and other content you submit remain yours. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and run your submissions solely to operate the Service (for example, to compile and judge your code and to save your drafts). You are responsible for the content you submit.

6. Our content

Problems, curriculum, narratives, and other materials provided by the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use them for your own interview preparation only.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including authentication and database infrastructure, a payment processor, hosting providers, and a sandboxed code-execution engine. Your use may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that judging will be free of mistakes, or that using the Service will result in any particular outcome, including passing any interview.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
